Pollutants are not only produced from large power Plants and Industry. Pollutants come from every automobile, truck, building and home on the planet where shelters need temperature control to protect occupants comfort needs from extremes of heat or cold.
The burning of heating fuels and the current boiler systems that produce the energy required, will exist long after every roof has a Solar Photo Voltaic Current system installed. The Heating systems in large homes and buildings are far more complicated to be replaced and require more fuel energy than can be provided from renewable sources.
Ambitious goals have been set by government to replace all fossil fuel heating with solar, nuclear, hydro generated or wind produced electric power. This plan is a 30 year plan, with important benchmarks during the time of implementation. Part of this program is to implement the best practices and technology to operate current equipment at the most efficient level.
Until carbon emission reduction goals are successful, the best interim solution is to improve the current management of fossil fuel energy use. The need is to apply load reset technology to heating sources that reduces fossil fuel use and chimney waste from buildings and homes. This applies to Industry, apartment complexes, office buildings and homes. In addition we need better employment of building insulation, window replacement, and heater piping insulation immediately for existing heating systems over the next 30 to 100 years.
Electric energy for all applications, will require imense expense of local battery storage installation, necessary alternative energy infrastructure expense, increased need for more electric transmission, (bury the larger wires needed). The carbon footprint on manufacturing, installing all these changes and the disposal of the obsolete materials will be huge in itself.
Conservation efforts are the most cost efficient immediate method to reducing carbon emissions and carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Maintenance of current heating, cooling, and fuel supply (gas) infrastructure is the most economical path to reducing carbon emissions now.
In the mean time fossil fuels will be with us for a very long time. Many buildings will not be able to adapt to the electric age. We cannot make steam economically with electricity yet. The expense for electric boiler electricity is four times that of fossil fuels. Folks cannot replace steam systems easily. This will require new larger supply cables, buried, going into the building. ( Not cheap) The goal is to convert heating systems to electric run Heat Pump technology. ( great for smaller private homes)
Using fossil fuels in the most efficient way can be reduced by 30-50 percent by eliminating the waste currently being emitted into the atmosphere. Although most folks are not ready for the needed investment for these changes, Exquisite Heat Artificial Intelligence can deliver carbon emissions reduction for your long term efficiency needs. By conserving 10-25% of your fuel use and carbon emissions eliminating current waste, with better operation. Repair of piping insulation can add another 10-20% lost from exposed piping. Accumulated savings can be saved for the conversion you will be required to make along with your emissions reduction and fuel expense savings. This will require new tax programs as an incentive for these savings accounts. In the end the conversion will be paid by the taxpayer in rate increases, savings accounts, fines (as in New York City), carbon credit programs.
